Yes, i know you have to set them to an ENEMY.... but blue searchlights still wont track red planes.....
Should they work? If so, how can I get them to?

they are treated like AA guns only they "shoot" light. they function just as normal AA do.

Then why when i set them up, they don't "fire." :roll:

I remember something from some time ago over at UBI about them being like the AI nav lights, in that they operate only between certain hours, don't know if that is still the case. IIRC 2045 was the earliest time to get them working.

I have it set to midnight and they STILL won't work.
Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? Is it the fact that I have them set up on a red base (they are blue) ?

do you have a frontline established? not only should they be an other color than the friendly color, but on the other side of the front line.

Ok here is my situation.
I have a red base, with Blue Searchlights ON the red base (this is an aerobatics map)
I have a BLUE front set up around the RED base full of blue searchlights....
When i change the time of day in the server so that it is dark (21.00) the searchlights DO NOT work!!
I don't understand.
