I would like to thank AAA and all who post thier mods here. They add so much to a great sim!

I have been dowmloading mods from here for years and would like to give back a little, I am working on a few sound files.

I would like to enhance the crash into water sound file as well but can not find it. After the initial impact/explosion the water splashes up into the sky, but when it comes back down the shower/splash sound is too short. Anyway, I would think the wave file would be in the IL2\files\samples folder, I listened to every wave file in the folder, it is not there! Anyone know where it might be? Really got me stumped.

Also.....

I have some IJN pilot skins I can contribute, but there are no pilot skin headings under IL2 skins & Textures?

also.....

Just finished some Corsair Direct link UDPSpeed gauges for second monitors, would these be considered a mod, would anyone be interested in them?

The name of this file is: exp3_08.wav, its merged in fb_sounds.sfs
You can extract it with SFSExtractor, after changing it, copy it in your samples folder

Thanks Rookie, thats what I needed to know.

The stock wave file is very weak, the splash needs hesitation after initial impact then it needs the sound of a lot of water coming back down timed with the graphics correctly. I think I nailed it with these wave files.

Just place the two wave files in your files\samples folder.

I sent Mr Jolly these files a couple days ago for his approval, but did not get back a response, am hoping it will be ok, just a couple simple wave files.
