Application error on Version Switch - Printable Version

Application error on Version Switch - AKA_Goshawk - 18.02.2009

After reinstalling IL2, patching, then installing the 1.1 Mod, I created a shortcut to the version switcher but when I try to launch the switcher (which is in the game folder) I get an error message:
The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135). Click OK to terminate the application.

If I launch the different versions using the batch files, they start the game OK. What can I do to fix the application error with the switcher?

You need a Micro$oft .NET Framework for it to work. + 2.0 version IIRC.

This is expressly a problem I am having with UI v1.1,
