Mod request - Is it possible to animate feathered prop - Alan - 20.02.2009

Hi there modders Big Grin

Was wondering if it was possible to animate feathered prop or at least change appearance of prop when it is feathered Idea

i am not really a modder but i think the appearance wouldn't be too hard, as for animation i have no idea

Yes this would be great, it's always the same outcome when hit in the engine, prop freezes in place. Also it would be cool if the engine shutdown lasted longer rather than how the prop just all of a sudden stops turning...

I sure it used to spin when feathered :?

not really, when feathered i'm pretty sure the blades would be parallel to the plane's flying direction as to avoid wind resistance as much as possible, so therefore it would not spin[/quote]

Correct, the blades were turned to offer the thinest profile possible so as to offer no resistance, this would mean the prob would only turn very slowly if at all.
