Tail Wheel Lock Unlock ? - =RAF=darky1 - 05.03.2009

I have a problem with the tail wheel not unlocking and my aircraft just spinning in circles when trying to take off in any bomber :?
i chose L on my controls panel for tail wheel lock and nothing Sad
does anyone know how to make this work please :?:

When flying multi-engined aircraft you need to make sure all engines are selected (synced), otherwise you just spin in circles because the last enigne you started is the last engine selected so you have to select all engines so they work in unison. Make sure your throttle is at idle before selecting all engines or one engine will stay at the power setting before "Syncing" the engines.

Also, on aircraft that have a nose wheel as opposed to a tail wheel, Tail wheel lock will not work.

There are also some bombers that have high torque that you must control gently, then there are aircraft like the Tu-2 where you have to have separate power settings for each engine.

Also...when starting single/multi engine aircraft, first make sure throttle is set to 0% before starting and wait for engine to idle before opening throttle. the same for multi engine A/C, but use little patience until all engine are running and remember to use "select all engines" before opening throttles

My problem was all to do with engine selection 1 engine select 4 engine deselect sorted thank you lot Big Grin
