Canarias Map - Spanish Planes on the Island - agracier - 08.03.2009

Since the Canarias map is so nice looking and useful for alternative history scenarios, here are a few screenshots with Spanish and Portuguese aircraft in the skies.

Very nice looking pics...

May I get that "Madrid" skin? Wink

Nice idea.

The skins are based on Spanish aircraft profiles from pre Civil War aviation schemes. They were mainly for bi-planes based in Spanish Africa or those used in the Moroccan war of the late 1920's. That's why no Condor Legion St. Andrew's crosses are used as markings, not on the wings and not on the tail either, as was done on post-Civil War aircraft. These all sport the red-gold-red roundel and tail flash.

Even so, the schemes look nice and fit well on early monoplane fighters like the G-50.

The Nationalist air force used the St. Andrew's cross, not only the Legion Condor. The Italians plane wore the same roundels too.
