I find that a restart of IL-2
sometimes fix's it but I'd love to get a proper fix for this.

i think some missions need some addons like skins of planes, or a mod block the mission to load, thats the main reasons that i have heard that cause all these errors.

i've checked the folders and there isn't any folder like that the closest and the one i think u mean is this:
3do\humans\Paratroopers\Germany
but if it is 3DO/GERMAN/PARATROOPERS then there is something weird and wrong with your folder structure or the game.
Anyway, the contents of that folder are a few textures and a msh file
Check what people have put in that mission though, if you don't have the object it just shouldn't load the objects and u should still see the map, but for various reasons sometimes there are errors as it wants a file in the mods that u don't have...

u get that litle error message when u loading the map?
Sometimes the game does it sometime he dossent on the same map, rigth?
to less memory, i had that problem before, mostly when i had to meny programs opened at the same times, close unnecessary program and try again.
Ps All answers is in our log file for il2.

To anyone who had this problem. It`s usually happens when you tryin` to load "Leningrad" map .To solve this problem go to "Hardware setup>videodriver" and switch from OpenGL to DirectX.It`s very old bug.

agree with EQT here- memory (ram) running out is the problem.
came across this recently with my original ju88 pit on finland maps- if files went over~600mb mission would crash out with error message as in orig post. in qmb i could get upto~900mb for pit files before 'crash'- so all the lovely maps/pits textures loaded can overload ram. taskmanager shows peak mem usage by fb at ~1.5gb at crash on a rig running xp with 2gb ram

Yes m8's I CONFIRM all you that it is a problem of MEMORY LACK: in fact I recently have discovered that after a while flying EVERY missions my game start studdering A LOT ! and I've 2GB ram, AMD 6400 + DC , Power supply 650 W and NEVER had this problem before U.I. 1.1 AND I don't know exactly if may be anyone of additional mod i've put into the game after 1.1 patch, BUT unfortunately I don't know WHAT mod may cause this MEMORY CONSUMPTION ?? Any Idea from you all about will be very appreciate....
