How does one REMOVE maps from QMB Plus ? - virgil_182 - 11.03.2009

I have a quick question, the opposite of most the other map questions I've seen concerning QMB plus.

I wish to REMOVE maps from the list in QMB. I would rather not have to scroll through the many tiny and online maps included to get to the maps I fly. (I fly exclusively off-line currently.)

I know it's a little picky, and it is by no means a critical issue, but it would be nice to only see the maps I actually fly in the QMB.

Thanks for your time,

Thanks for your time,

Simply open conf.ini file in Notepad, (this file is in your IL2Sturmovik1946 folder), delete there the line

CustomXX=Maptoremove

or whatever is the name of the map you want to remove from QMB, and then Save As the conf.ini file as such, to the same folder. When asked "Overwrite?" confirm "Yes".

Don't delete the lines, just turn them off by changing the entry to

//CustomXX=Maptoremove

or

;CustomXX=Maptoremove

That way if you change your mind its easy to get them back.

Thanks for the reply.

Adding and/or removing custom maps is working fine, but my request is slightly different, perhaps I wasn't clear enough.

I wish to remove the defaults that come with QMB, such as Sands of time, all the various online variants, etc..... unfortunately they are not listed in the config.ini file and I can't seem to find were the default QMB map list is stored.

Thanks again

Perhaps the fresh installation of QMBMinus will help. It contains none maps, you can add there that of your choice. For QMBMinus ask perhaps FatCat, or your friend Google. Smile
