Correct sections? - Failure - 13.03.2009
Hey there, I just wanted to ask, and I think this is the best section to ask in,
where should we put our mods?
I know, the WIP - Beta stuff, but what if my mod is completely finnished and working?
Can't I make a new threat in the , for example Effects download section?
Someone told me that mod's needs to check it, test and proceed further, but my mods never reached the effects download section.
Should I ask someone to test it or something?
It's just not so clear to me.
Cheers.

because the only way (at present forum state) for us to be sure submitted mods are safe ( files ... viruses ... ) is to check them out by AAA staff .
So every mod must get submitted to Mr. Jolly or to moderator of certain forum section ( if specified in section sticky thread ) and after approval user gets AAA download link (PM) so he can start thread in certain "download" section .
That is the proper procedure .... now i do see that some modders don't respect rules and keep starting threads in effects and sounds forum sections ( for example) and i will deal with them soon .
I am aware that present procedure is far from perfect but until changed we must live with it . Anyways your mods are available for users through beta section so i really don't see why is so important for certain mod to become "official" ASAP .

It is because, beta mods are mostly outdated/not working or are just old.
It sounds stupid, but sometimes it is true.
By tagging it official, people know it does not have any viruses, it is new and working.
Thanks for clearing that out.
Any idea on how long this procedure can take?

.... for maps , usually few days and for the rest it can take longer because of amount of submitted mods . I'm usually getting approval for my mods in week or two. I'm not sure if Jolly is fully recovered so it may take little longer until he does .
