Junior's Beer Run - Kristorf - 15.03.2009

Wing Commander 'Johnnie' Johnson had a Spitfire made up from spares and wrecked Spitfires while commanding 147 Wing RAF
and marked as JE-J(jr) with the serial MK329, the same as his own A/C. It showed on no Airforce books as it didn't exist.
This A/C was unarmed and was famously used to transport barrels of beer across the English Channel to his Squadrons in
France soon after D-Day.

Very nice Smile, so you going to make a beer mod?

Cheers gents,
It's true, Johnson describes it in his book 'Wing Leader'

Unfortunatally 'Junior' was written of in a crash, and only one photo was ever taken of the A/C
