Mod question. - Failure - 15.03.2009
Hi there.
Is it possible, to make a mod, that extends plane lifetime*?
I don't mean to make it invulnerable to gunfire and stuff.
I just would like to crashland little easily, crashlanding with B 24 is almost impossible.
Can't it be somehow changed to let the planes hit the ground with less damage?

If you can find proof that a plane is not suppost to destroy it self if it crashes X value hard at Y value speed and it just so happens to be a plane thats being modded then yes....... Good luck...

I know it may not be realistic, but is this possible to lower the damage of collisions?
- Potenz - 15.03.2009
this suppose to be a simulator and try to be as real as it can, if you want arcade games play ace combat for PS1

Uh?
I don't know what's with you people, but I've asked a question if this is possible, not if this is realistic.
I am obviously noticing that biggest part of people here just can't read.

Collision Height is what u need

And can we have power ups when flying trough rings? 8)

well...there could be applications for this...i don't remember what it was called but one of the what-if designs at end of war was a luftwaffe rocket plane (kind of looked like the 163) that had strengthened wing/tail leading edges and nose so that it could ram allied bombers, momentarily lose control, but still remain intact enough to go at another run. so a good question would be....can you model a new aircraft for the sim with MORE strength than the other aircraft? so that this could actually work? or is there just a 'default' aircraft strength hardcoded into the sim?

Altering the collision model would be changing the damage model. which is not looked upon lightly here.... or generally in this community. So it is probably possible.. but you get it done here... not legitimately anyway.. If the planes crash DM is altered then the general DM will be altered as well... I suggest you practice dead stick landings in a B-24... seriously.. it will help.
