[WIP] Ta152H1 cockpit repaint - Guest - 21.03.2009

This is my first repaint.I used photos of the real gauges. Some textures I've made from scratch and some are modified stock textures.Well,I think it turned out good, considering my modest skill in photoshop Smile.

I've borrowed temperature and trim gauge from Flushy's 190 repaint.I'm going to replace those gauges as soon as I make some decent looking ones Smile

I just thought I would post this up here before someone else does (and maybe not as politely)...but could we see some pictures please?

This being your first mod and all, I'm sure that people will want to see the level of your work before downloading and installing.

Thanks Smile

p.s. Bandwidth seems to be at a premium these days...

OH SNAP! Confusedhock: , I'm downloading it out now! Thanks for the screen grabs...I'm glad I didn't miss it.

p.s. From looking at the screen grabs I'm really impressed by the "worn metal" effect (texture) on the cockpit deck (floor).

- zulu64 - 22.03.2009

Lovely work, look forward to the final.

- JG54Spookie - 22.03.2009

Ah, me likes! The scuffed-up metal on the floor is terrific!

- PA_Willy - 22.03.2009

Thank you Sani!

You are an artist!! Looking forward more retexturized cockpits from you.

Thats original and not changed.

However, I don't like it.

1st. there nothing special about exchanging good low res textures with good highres textures. Plus it looks weird, if you only exchange some, while other stay low res.

2nd. taking photographs for textures is the worst thing you can do. If you do, you need to rework those photos, so that they match each other and the rest of the textures. Otherwise it looks like a photocollage. The lighting is wrong, the color is wrong, the reflections are wrong, the directions, from which the photgraphs were taken isn't the same as the player sees them from in game, the resolution is different and sometimes there might be even moir

- KG64_Cnopicilin - 22.03.2009

It looks really, really good!
