Airshow Two - Which mods? - CrisMoreno - 24.03.2009

Hey Community,

Sorry if this is the wrong forum. I'm new to IL-2 and just saw this movie:

Now I'm asking myself which mods can make IL-2 look like that? Especially the trees' texture and density looks so different to the original IL-2. Also the buildings are great.
I already downloaded the unified installer, but it looks like the game still doesn't have the look of the movie! I also PMed the author, but he didn't respond.

Is there anybody who can help me with finding out how to achieve that look?

Looks to me like the creator used some sort of video enhancement. Like you would use a sepia to make a photo look older. The creator has done a great job..excellent work! There is a tree mod, released not to long ago, you might want to try it. Its not going to make your game look like the video but the trees will look better. GL fragg

Looks like Canon's Channel map and the the creator reduced the Gamma a tad and lightened up the contrast. Not a lot, just a little tweaking to both.
D/L Canon's Channel map as it has those textures and/or Flushy's Bumpification Mod which also improve the look of the game tremendously IMO.

As for the graphic settings, you can do that with your video cards tools.

Thanks guys. I'll have a look at thos mods. But as I do movies as well, I know about the video-effects he used. But the trees look totally different. They are more "voluminous" and if you look at how they are positioned in the landscape between 1:59 and 2:05, it looks nearly like a Beta of BOB:SOW to me.

What do you think?
