[MOD IDEA] Bomb View - mavyalex - 29.03.2009

Hello,

Is there any Bomb view MOD for IL-2 1946 ? I don't think so but maybe other people thought about it.
This functionality exists for modern jet simulations, so why not for Il-2 1946?

This would be great to assess our bombing skills and accuracy...

For rockets it could be a FPV (First Person View) like missile view on modern jet sims.

I would suggest not to make such a view for the B-29 Silver Plate atomic bombs...

Good bye...

Why not? Dr Strangelove is one of my favorite movies!

However, good idea, will be useful in making movies! Smile

Could be interesting when skip bombing. Realese, BOUNCE, BOUNCE, BOOM!!! I'd probably fall off after that first bounce though. Big Grin

what about X-4's?
we could use a little black and white camera.
some X-4s had cameras on them for long range.

Thats a cheat, lets stick to bombs only.

it could be a cheat in regard to missiles..however there were some german bombs which were tv guided, altough i don't know what the operator really saw in his sights: a view from the tip of the bomb or a zoomed view of the target, with the bomb inside the visual field (i read s.where that the bombs had some optical/ir light sources on their planes) so he could lay it with precision

Perhaps you could include the reference links or material that you read that in. I know the Americans were working on that near the end of the war, but nothing about the Germans using "smart bombs".
