3d Max 3.1 - eddie_brunette - 31.03.2009
Hi guys
While cleaning out my gaming room on Saturday, i came across my long lost and completely forgotten 3d Max 3.1 (what a surprise!!!
) Needless to say, the very first thing that jumped to mind was AAA.
I just want to find out what versions you guys use, and if I use this if it will be compatible with your program? I'm rusted stiff regarding max, but the memory banks will open when I get started again. Another thing, I will only be able to construct the flight models and not the flight physics (don’t know how), will AAA modders be able to take the flight model that is done and take from there?
Any help regarding this will be highly appreciated. I'm already working on my "de Havilland D.H.103 Hornet" project to try and open those damn memory banks. BTW the Hornet is my fav plane that ever took to the skies!!!

Wasn't Il-2 supposed to only accept one Max format?

to answer one question, if you were to create a 3d model, then some other person could help you to write a flight model for the aircraft. it is unusual for a modder to create an aircraft completely by himself. there are normally numerous people helping with various aspects. to help you brush up, there are tutorials on creeating aircraft available

thanks for the replies. ok, I just need to know if compatible with older versions. @highlander_262, I did not see the Hornet project, looks fantastic. Ok I'll try the birddog, BUT is it compatible?

Thanks, oh well to bad I have older version, would have loved to create some models, and I already spend some time on the birddog
At least it gives me some more time in the air

After just having a read through some of the older 3D work stuff, I think you will be fine with 3.1. It's what fatduck used to make all the 3d conversion stuff.

ok, thanks. I'll just carry on and when finished, we'll see if compatible
