How can I change IL 2 language to Russian? - Pirx - 02.04.2009
Hi, friends. I have installed UI on IL 2 4.08 with no Mods and the game turned to English: menu, compaigns, maps etc.
Is there a way to have Russian discription of the game back? Thanks for help.

Yes, that's what most of us westerners were waiting for,
a no cyrillic, all english game, moddable to any language. :wink:
Seems you have to write your own mod, to undo all the changes,
to have it back in plain russian again. :wink:
Have you tried setting the language in conf.ini (locale=RU)? NoGo?
BTW, "Testpilot Pirx", Stanislaw Lem was a damn fine novelist!

I have the same problem. Locale=ru is default in my conf.ini. but after installation of AAA UI(not patched yet) on 4.091 even if I switch to 4.08 back using batches I have the English version not Russian.

Thank a lot for answering me! I have found the way to come back to Russian: it is to delete the folder I18N in the Files folder.

There's another way to make you happy. Just copy original files.sfs and il2fb.exe (from the russian 4.08m) to your 408 NO MOD (original) folder, and replace "english" files there.
