F-86F-30 "Mig Mad Marine" flown by John Glenn - Bo_Nidle - 07.04.2009
This F-86 was flown by future Mercury astronaut and US Senator John Glenn on his second combat tour in Korea in mid 1953. He used it to shoot down 3 Mig15's. At the te was a US Marine Major on exchange to the 51stFw 25thFs.

Gorgeous skin ! I had no idea Glenn had scored kills in Korea. I also didn't suspect thow mad the nosearts were on some of those Sabres.
