sound mod idea for hawker sea furry - hawker445 - 09.04.2009

maybe we could use a6m sounds so it has that radial engine sound and tweak it and mix it with maybe P51 or a 109 whistle sound

well..most sea furys have the r-3350 ...and that preset is already in the mod..

I thought Sea Fury had a Bristol sleeve valve powerplant.

yes they used Bristol Centaurus engine..but that video ( i might be wrong ) is the sea fury with the R-3350 engine ( probably less than 3 have the centaurus that is airworthy ) while the rest were converted to R-3350 engine because is easier to maintain

Alucard,

I was an A&P mechanic for 30 years I think the Furys were converted to Wright R-3350 because of the availability not because of maintenance.
