Unable to save to map_t or actors.static: Help!? - mandrill7 - 12.04.2009

I tried to do some work with the map_t and actors.static on FMB, but the game refused to save and told me that it could not "find the path" for either file.

What's up? And how do I solve this frustrating problem?

You are clicking "Save" and not any of the other options?

Actually, I think I may have just recalled the what I am doing wrong.

I think I need to make a duplicate file in my root game folder to record changes!!!

I will try that and see if the problem persists. Thank you for your help.


Some hours later: Yes, I made duplicate folder in my root folder and placed copies of the actors.static and map_t in there and now I save with no problem. I have to transfer the saved changes back to the mods folder to load the map with the changes saved.
