HELP || Timeout 20 Seconds after connection!! - steveturchin - 15.04.2009
Every time I connect to the AAA server (and some others such as skies~of~valor) I timeout about 20 seconds after I connect. If I'm quick, I can choose a plane and click on fly. I can see everyone flying around me, and I can move my plane too. Just as I am about to takeoff I get "The communication with the remote host is lost. Reason: Timeout.".
EVERY TIME.
I am using game version 4.08m, no mods, fresh copy. My ping on the server is 200. My internet is fine and I am not having problems like these with it.
I saw someone posting here about exactly the same problem few months ago, so I'm not the only one and there is a solution!
I can't wait to play on the AAA server! Whoever helps me will be given a jar of chocolate chip cookies!

Guess your high ping is the issue. "200" is a pretty high number... :?
Could be the server's "timeout settings" are pushing you off the server.

I really don't think its the ping. I saw someone saying the other day that the max ping on the server is 350.

I'll just verify that.
I was just in the server and there appears to be nothing non-standard to his connection. He connects just fine and only after a few seconds on the runway does his game time-out.
The ping was 200, which is no problem whatsoever on AAA.
