Do any of these look realistic to the era, I'm trying to get my "photos" to look right.

Forgot to add thew swastika.

The first pic look like a real one... :o

- Oh_Frustration - 15.04.2009

Yep, the first one looks just like a real photo. Very nice.

- clayman - 16.04.2009

The first one the best but that second one isn't bad either. Has a good contrast and sheen. I like it. The others ... a little saw and noise too soft. Good comp all. The grain of the first seems to work the best I think.

- GeneralPsycho - 16.04.2009

the first one is great, the second has potential if the spit wasnt using the german markings

- dadders - 16.04.2009

There are stories of the Germans testing the Daimler engine installed into a captured spitfire, now that could be an interesting combo.

- ColaBen - 16.04.2009

Hi'
The german crosses are too clear
Happy Landings

Well, the plane has never been through combat, or even flown twice, they should look like they were just painted. Shouldn't it?

I agree, totally true

- MB-BOB - 16.04.2009

Photographically, the first shot is best, as aerial film footage or objects at speed naturally looked a little grainy for the era. The remaining static shots are too grainy, IMO. Still cameras of the day were quite good in B&W, with most out of focus shots were due to photographer error more than the equipment or film.

So, there's no reason why they should appear so grainy. Just a slight "unsharpen" in photoshop and adjustment to contrast might yield a better effect. HTH.

1st is the best

- screwball - 16.04.2009

Thought first one was a photo...took me till the third shot to finally realise they were screenies  Big Grin

That's amazing! I'd like to find out more about this 'Messerspit.' I've never seen a pic of it before.

Forgot to say I like the second picture best.
