Okay, then never mind, there is no way to make a realistic bare metal / chrome finish.

To be fair, operational aircraft were never "chrome" finish. That is used by the modern warbird owners for ease of maintainance and because it looks pretty.

If it's Korean F-51D's you are after I have had these up at www.flying-legends.net for quite a while now










In fact I'll zip 'em together and repost them here as the Korean War interest seems to be gaining momentum.
