Help! I got nasty flickering texture... - Muas - 21.04.2009

Hi friends.

I edited a wing part of a stock 109, a small mod just to remove a wing cannon, and after exporting it back to the game, some faces (more then others) show some slightly flickering textures, just as if some other underneath texture was trying to came up.

I suspect this might be another layer which have its faces in the same planes as the main one, but I didn't add such a thing, only removed a wing cannon.

Wait: could it be the second LOD, wrongly set up with the same distance, trying to show off?

I think you're describing layers which are normally textured as 'Overlays', so are insivible except for in-game markings. If the mapping goes wrong they display the entire TGA but reduced and messily.

Whenever I start having alot of those flickering textures I open up my pc case and use a industrial vacumn cleaner and blow out all the dust that has built up on the video cards and the motherboard. It's amazing how much dust actually gets inside the pc case (at least mine). However, your problem might be a glitch with one of the mods.......it's hard to know initially.
