Great picture mate, nice idea. It is just my opinion, and I know people will disagree... but I find that the later the model the less attractive the Spit gets.
- Tesla - 23.04.2009
I find that the earliest and latest look the best.

To be honest I kind of agree, but don't forget that the latest model Spit in this picture is a Packard-Merlin Spit XVI
Not exactly an "upgrade" if you know what I mean. The earliest and latest birds are in the center of formation.
But I agree with Tesla too
The 1 and 16 look best also ^^
Thanks for comments!!

Great one Airdo!
Battle of Britain version for me is the most nostalgic...
The spit that was auctioned this week in UK shows the astronomic value of airworthy survivors....just don't understand why they changed that particular AC to a two-seater....what a passion killer!

Excellent Screenshot! It Almost looks like a painting.

+1
I think that the Mk 1 is the best looking spit.

very nice pic
and regarding witch is the most beautiful my taste evolved just like the spit
for a long time when i was very young i liked the mkI and V
then when i was about 10 years old a liked the MKVIII and MKIX
a few years ago i liked the MKXIV and now im 23 and and dont yet know if i realy think it's thw one i like the most now but im really fasenated with the f22 even thou it wasnt realy in the war and it bearly even looks like a true spit with its redesigned wing and spitful type tail.

I don't exactly know what kind of effect I was going for with this but I got to this and it seems to work quite nicely
Thanks for the kind words everyone.
I wonder if I should try something similar with 109's or 190's

You know what? I agree. Her child, the Spiteful, looked horrible. None of the graceful lines her mother once had.

I love the Later Spitfires.... Espeically the Mk XVIII. So long and sleak. I love the Spiteful too, Guess im kind of a fan of the more chunky evil look lol
