Over at M4T
I would liked to have done more and I may still, but I will be sure to do more far east Buffalos of other units.
A selection of 8 Buffalo MkIs Flown by 488 squadron in the defense of Singapore
These include aircraft left behind by other units and taken on by 488
when they became the last RAF squadron left in the besieged city.
For the RNZAF fans, Geoff Fiskin flew the included W8137 on a number of occasions

These are very well done skins and a welcome addition to my Buffalo directory of skins.
This plane is one of those aircraft that doesn't always receive the attention it deserves, and not only that, but it is also a rather difficult plane to choose a good looking profile for, probably due to its odd shape.
But odd shaped or not, it's one of those lovely early war planes that give the game a nice feel to it.

It's great to be reminded of what a wonderful selection of aircraft this game gives us! 8)

Just downloaded the pack and taken a brief look- they look very, very nice indeed.
Now to install and test them!!!!!!!!!!!
"WP" was the code for 243 Squadron, so these planes served with that squadron originally before probably ending up with 488 Sqn- there was no time to repaint them of course. Buffs taken from reserve sometimes received only an individual code letter, such as AN207 which only sported a "K" before being handed over to 21/453 Sqn. "GA" was 21 Sqn RAAF's code, "TD" was 453 Sqn RAAF. These two were merged after suffering heavy losses over northern Malaya, becoming 21/453 Sqn.
"NF" was of course 488 Sqn; the final Far East Buff squadron was 67 Sqn, which used "RD" as squadron code. 67 Sqn saw action over Burma, being transferred there after being formed at Singapore. The squadron received new Buffs, handing their original set of aircraft to 488 Sqn.
Interestingly, only 488 Sqn's Buffs carried the unit code letters, i.e. "NF", forward of the fuselage roundel on both sides; the squadron code ("GA", "TD", "WP" and "RD") was painted aft of the fuselage roundel on both sides on the Buffs of all other squadrons.
Always love seeing new Buff skins appear! Looking forward to the next set!!!!!!!!!
