Game crashes when I choose a BF109 "G" model - cgagan - 25.04.2009

Hello everyone; In the past few days, the game crashes whenever I choose to fly any of the BF109 G models; just them, everything else (including the newcomers) works fine. I've installed AC installer 3.3 and I have the AAA UI. No problems with the game, just this; must be a bug... Any clues? Thank you, and have a nice weekend,

It could be a couple of things. First of all if you know which one it is, I would take it out manually and then re-download that file. I know in the past I have downloaded files that installed but were incomplete. So try to reinstall it manually. Second make sure that you've copied the lines of the aircraft in both your Weapons and plane ru files. Also at what % does your game crash.....

The game loads fine; whenever I choose a Bf109G model, whether in QMBplus or FMB it crashes (I get a message "iL2.exe has ceased to operate". All I have to do is to reclick on the game's desktop shortcut and I'am back in the game. I'll follow your advice though, and check manually the Bf109 G files.
Thanks,

Good Luck. If you get the game fixed its always best to keep a 2nd game installed somewhere else on your computer this way you always have a back-up ready to go. I have on game installed in my C drive and another in my Programs Folder. I make sure I keep both of them updated together, this way if one fails to work and I cant fix it, I simply just delete and then copy over the game into my folder of the one that was messed up. I also keep one backed up on a external harddrive just in case.
Let me know if you find the problem.

It could be a conflict with one of the mods you have installed. I had exactly the same problem after I installed the first version of Sanka's forgotten countries mod. I reported the problem to Sanka and he updated his mod. After I installed the latest version everything worked fine.
