Yes, TVAL are very cool, they do some very impressive stuff.
They've got that Fokker DVII at Masterton as well, along with a few other goodies.

Quote:Thanks for that! Beautiful video of the Camel and Spitfire. You could tell that Camel was giving it all she had.
Yeh and you could also see the Spit was just hanging on the edge to formate on the Camel. Nose right up and frequently side-slipping to see where he was going. That guy knew the Spit well 8)

Wow. Thnaks for that. Just 20 years between them...amazing. Noting like the character of piston powered warbirds. What a beautiful video.

I posted this on the local IL2 community website, just some pics I took of the recent display. Hope it give those OOF guys some inspiration
Whew what an Anzac Day its been here in Masterton. Unfortunately for the following photos, the skies were overcast, so not the best for taking photos, but it did kind-of follow with the Anzac theme.
Please click the thumbnails to see a larger view _b :
And here we go...
Be2 having a quick practice in the morning before the show:
Quite a lineup!
SE5a
Be2 taking to the skies:
Pfaltz:
Brand spanking new original Avro 504, with original rotary engine:
Bit of a small mishap on landing, bit of a crosswind picked the wing up. Lucky they have wingtip skids to stop damage eh?
SE5a's:
Sopwith Camel
:
RNZAF's Harvard came down for a display:
Stampe (Yellow) and Tigermoth, both put on a brilliant ribbon cutting, balloon popping and flour bombing display:
(Note the flour bomb in the pilots hand for the pic below
Meet the Fokkers:
The star of the show, the debut of the worlds only FE2b:
More SE5a's:
Final Flypast, Bristol Fighter, 3 SE5a's, and a Fokker DVII Albatross:
And a big wave to finish the show, after showering us in poppies from the gunner seat:
All in all some great flying on display, and hints of some new WWI types due out Novemberish... watch this space :8)
