Static.ini in Map Building version - agracier - 05.05.2009

I've noticed that in the unlocked FMB, for a map making version of the game, that the number of objects that can be inbeded in a map is limited compared to what one often finds on other maps.

I suppose that is because these are only the default objects and if yu want to add new objects they must be added to a static.ini file.

However in the default map-making version of the game I have, following the map-making tutorial, there is no static.ini present.

Can one be added, and if so where should it be put?

If you have UI 1.1 most of the best new objects will be installed and should appear in the objects list.

If you do not have UI 1.1 then you need to add the object mods yourself. New maps will tell you in the installation instructions if any new objects need to be installed to make the map work.

Get a default static.ini here (The link is inoperative)
Each object mod requires new text to be added to static.ini

Make sure you only have one static.ini installed. I think (but not certain) that UI 1.1 installs it to root/files. My installation has it in root/MODS/STD/com/maddox/il2/objects

Backup before overwriting any files, --- especially if you think you know what your doing.
