What the?!..Have the 109G2/6 gunpod barrels always been red? - nzwilliam - 10.05.2009

Hi guys,
I rarely use gunpods when flying 109's, lastnight I did though to combat some pesky B25's online and noticed the barrels are red...which in my opinion looks a little odd. Have they always been red, or did something happen somewhere along the way?!
