I have no idea what causes it, but I get the same problem to. It doesn't show up on mine if you use the default skin, though.
I had that problem - ={TTU}=Zumbach - 13.05.2009

IIRC, one of the TBF's does that and the other doesn't. Looks like you found the former. I think you are sitting in the second seat that the radioman/navigator used.
Yet another reason to "fix" the TBF Avenger series. We sorely need a gentler, kinder flight model that has a proper center of gravity and a proper cockpit position for all of them. Either the in-game one should be fixed or we need a replacement for this major player in the Pacific.

If you ask me, the Avenger is by far the most interesting airplane to fly in IL-2.
Makes all the others look tame.

this is an old bug, i think it can simply be fixed by selecting another country, (u.s.a intsead of r.a.f)i cant exactly remember but its some thing to do with the avenger (r.a.f version) seating being slighly foward to the american counterpart. have a little play selecting the different countries and see if that helps.

I had that problem but never got a round to posting the screenie. I used stock everything (skin, allied).
Doesn't sound like there is a simple solution (except avoid the plane
)

That's interesting. I never fly the Avenger as RAF so I haven't seen this problem. I went and experimented, and sure enough...you fly the TBF-1C as RAF, and there it is! The other one is fine.
So, I don't think that the answer is as severe as "don't fly the plane." Just don't fly it as RAF! One of the easiest bug solutions I've seen.

maybe you should try it.
