Selecting Groups - Checkyersix - 15.05.2009
Hi all,
Sorry if this has been asked before, but I've combed the forums and I can't find anything. I dl'd FMB+ (not the map-building one, but the mission-building one...), and I can't figure out how to select objects. I can select groups of objects find in the unlocked FMB, but in FMB+ it doesn't work.
Any suggestions?

FMB+ :
ALT + mouse left clic (select an area) ==> create group
ALT + mouse right clic (select an area) ===> uncreate group

Thanks for the reply. I've been trying that, but it doesn't work. I have the controls set up in conf.ini, but they only work with unlocked FMB, not FMB+

Sorry !
I missed a detail !
On the Edit tab, check "Enable Select".

Thanks for the second reply
Unfortunately that doesn't work either. Maybe I have a mod conflict somewhere...

actually I have the same question,
I use the Mod "FMB" which comes with UI.1.1, i do think this folder is the so called FMB+
I have no luck so far either with the group funczion.
I can see the window area that i can size with my mouse, but the objects in the area are not selected in any way...
enable select ist checked.

Maybe your installation of FMB+ has a problem but there are a few more things you should know before you give up on it.
The FMB doesn't give any visual feedback after you have selected items. Nothing appears to have changed. If after you have selected the items you press the numberpad keys 1, 3, 4, 6, 7 or 9 your group will rotate left or right by a degree depending on the pressed key. Mouse down and hold on any item should allow you to drag them all to a new location.
Make sure that no single object is selected whan you press the keys to rotate or that object is the only thing that will rotate. You can do this by right clicking the mouse and clicking "Unselect"
Once a multiple object selection has been made it can be added to by holding down Alt and selecting more items. The selecting of additional items doesn't unselect the first selection.
To clear a multiple object selection, you must go to the "Edit" menu and click "Unselect all"
