[Request] Tactical Air Controller - Checkyersix - 16.05.2009
Hi All,
I was wondering, now that the Korean War is shaping up, if there might be some ingenious modder out there who could work in some kind of TAC or FAC into the game. This would be some kind of radio-voice that could tell you where the enemy was relative to their position. Wings Over Vietnam actually has this in the form of a FAC who tells you there are 'enemy tanks east of our position', etc.
As an alternative, how about a T-6 Mosquito armed with smoke marking rockets or illumination flares? I think it would add a lot of immersion the game if there was some communication between the player and the troops on the ground.

I have asked for coloured smoke as an object and got no response from the board. I was thinking in terms of gattack missions in WW2, especially in PTO jungle terrain.

Maybe something fireball good do?
Maybe make the MAP selectable from the arming list and have Unique dificulty settings so you can see aircraft and ground targets??

Well, I know marking flares and colored smoke are possible, so I guess we'll have to wait for someone to model the T-6 Texan...
It would be really awesome to fly night missions in korea with Texans dropping illumination flares to spot trains and vehicles.
