German Top secret mission (Bf-109 ramming missions) - ={TTU}=Zumbach - 20.05.2009
April 7th 1945 BF-109s climb up high to meet american bombers B-24s and B-17s .
Heinrik Rostner was the pilot that he survived , he rammed the one B24 that he was in the lead 389th bomb group "The Sky Skorpions" the leader bomber was called the "Pallas of Dallas" .
He climb high to spot the bombers .
He spots the bombers at 1 o'clock low from contrails .
He thinks about his girl friend the he is going to loose if he is going to die .
He did the first attack and he fired few burst and the bomber began to smoke from the engine .
He did the second pass and he did a success he rammed the B24
He rammed the B24 and Heinrik Rostner the BF109 pilot bailed out

He didn't have enough weapons to hope to do any serious damage on the B-24s, but your pilot did do damage by shooting anyway... 1 x MG-131 isn't enough.
Other than than, good one, mate! Sit tight and wait for the proper ramming 109 which is due to be done.
Thanks - ={TTU}=Zumbach - 20.05.2009

Actually it's "Sonderkommando Elbe", but that's a minor detail.

I don't think it was secret mission. That was to scare bombers, but only four 109s had rammed.

It was secret until the big day, not to let the Allies know of it. Next to that, 15 bombers were attacked, 8 successfully destroyed.

It was a complete failure. In fact the results wouldn't have been any worse if they had been conventional attacks in my opinion.

If the Allies hadn't covered it up so well, it would've been devastating. The thought that the Germans were crazy enough to slam into your plane with theirs would not be a very comforting thought, even if the attacks were a failure in the conventional sense. They were intended as a form of psychological warfare, not practical warfare.
