FMB+ Copy/Paste issue - VonBarb. - 20.05.2009

Hi

I have activated the FMB+ (not the mapmaking one, the enhanced mission making MOD) and I can't find how to copy/paste groups of objects.

I've added the lines in the 'builder hotkey' section of conf.ini but it doesn't do anything when in the FMB. I can select a group and move it around (not rotate it though...) but I can't copy or paste.

Any ideas ?

Cheers

Nico

I cant even select a group!

I think copy+paste only works in unlocked FMB, not FMB+. There's an app called "Group Cloner" that works well for cloning mission objects.

Remember that there's no visual indicator when you select a group - try ALT+Boxing a group, grab one, and see if you can move them all.

Rotating uses the numpad keys. Make sure you check "Enable Rotation".

Hope that helps.

I've enabled rotation. When I try rotating a group, only one object will rotate, not the others.

As I said I can select groups and move them around, but I can't make them rotate or copy/paste them.

the group can be rotated...around the mouse pointer....using the keypad

copy/paste not available in FMB+

best done with a blank mission file.... adding the set of objects to your mission again ..... then moving/rotating them

Roger that thanks. In the meantime I D/Loaded this little 'Monkey Wrench' Utility from M4T. It lets you copy/paste groups from one map to another and even store them in a database...

I have used GroupCloner a little and found it was quite good for copying in little 'dioramas' in my France campaign. All the aircraft being worked on in the various bases were just variations on two themes made with GroupCloner. It was tricky to use if you wanted to align objects very precisely but if you just wanted them to appear in a general area it was great.
let me know if you need any help with your campaigns.
