================DESCRIPTION===============================================
Focke Wulf 190-A5/U14, TWP-Hexengrund
This is the skin of a Fw-190A-5/U14 at the TWP (Torpedo weapon place)
Hexengrund. Johann Schmitt flew test runs with torpedos up to 1400kg.
It always was a hard ride for this plane. As far as I know, only 3 U14
served at the Luftwaffe.

Very cool... but.... Kinda makes it stand out that the Torp and the tail gear aren't quite there yet.....

I think the whole A-5/U14 mod needs some corrections.

With a torpedo slung that low I'd be afraid to rotate too fast.

The tail gear in the actual photo needed to be raised almost half a meter to allow for rotation. Never the less the take off speed had to be greater; more so lift getting you off the ground than elevator movement.
back OT, lovely skin. :o
