Very, very good!
Also like the plane skin in your second shot.
Where did you find it?

- Commander Shao - 23.05.2009

Who know that the Ta-183 the grandgrandfather of the Mig-15 is??

Ta-183-->Ta-283-->Mig-9-->Mig-15.

- Metatron - 23.05.2009

I'm of the impression that North Korean pilots of the time wore German style Soviet leather helmets and goggles still.

Nice work though!

Thx for the info.
I will upgrade this job with correct helmets, korean face and one with Pepelyayev uniform and face.

Wink

This uniform is not correct for the period ('50-53)
More accurate for the 60s and 70s.
Also, life jackets were not worn as flying over sea was restricted.
As soon as I find some spare time, I'll release some historically accurate Korean era pilot skins for both sides...

Actually....

Quote:Claims of Artem Mikoyan and Mikhail Gurevich (lead designers of the "MiG" bureau) being heavily influenced by the Focke-Wulf Ta 183, however, have been discredited. Although the abortive late-war German jet had swept wings and bore a superficial resemblance to the later MiG-15, the two aircraft are very different in structure and general design. The Soviets did seize plans and prototypes for the Ta-183, but the majority of Focke-Wulf engineers were captured by Western armies, therefore it could be argued that the MiG-15 design team drew some limited inspiration from the Ta-183, but there is insufficient evidence to suggest it was heavily influenced by the Ta-183. Currently, most sources acknowledge that the MiG-15 is an original design benefiting from German research, but conceived, designed, engineered, and produced by the Soviets.

The MiG-15 did develop from the MiG-9, but the MiG-9 was a totally different airplane than the Ta-183, and had nothing to do with it other than research. I've seen the mistake in lots of places  And have even seen a documentary covering this. Smile

I know this is off-topic. But I wanted to point that out Smile

Great Skin, btw!! :!:
