Memory Maxmizer Utility Available? - WindWeapon - 31.05.2009

Hello all,

Was wondering if there is a utility out there that could be run, say when Stab loads, which would shut down all memory hogging processes to maximize the amount of memory dedicated to IL2?

When I do a fresh boot up, I find that over half of my memory is being utilized and it would be nice if I had the majority of the memory available for the game. Similar to Gapa for visual control, it would be nice to have a little utility that could be run, when Stab loads, which would shut down all those memory hogging processes, as compared to me having to go in and manually shut things down before loading the game.

FYI.. when I open Stab, it is set to load TrackIR, Gapa, and the IL2 Splash screen switcher which is pretty cool. If I could add a memory optimizer to the list of pre-game utilities which load, prior to IL2, that would be sweet?!

I have 1GB of memory to work with, and cannot upgrade due to hardware limitations. I am awaiting release of Windows 7 to buy a new super rig which will handle everything, but until then, I have to remain on my current system, which is not bad, but could work better with more memory available.

Another really good one that is free is End it All.
You'll have to google search for it as it's been a while, but it works great.
