Very Irritating Stutter when firing Me262 cannon.... - Guest - 02.06.2009
Hi gents
As i'm posting this, i remember that several moons ago, somebody posted with the same problem. I didn't take much notice of it, as i never had that problem. So, maybe there is someone out there who knows what the issue might be.
Basically, if i fire the cannons from the Me-262, the screen gives a little 'micro-stutter' at the instant i press the trigger. If i keep the trigger depressed, it doesn't stutter anymore, but the cannon fires repeatedly, with no stutter.
If, however, i press the trigger in short , or even single bursts, (which is by far my preferred technique!)
it gives the same little stutter every time i initially pull the trigger.
It's pretty unpleasant, and now I hardly use these planes because of it. It's the same with all the Me262 models with cannons.
If i had to think of a culprit, i would look toward the associated wav file, maybe?
What else could cause this?
Any ideas? :?:

i think its definitely associated with the sound file for the cannon....its probably either too high a sample rate or too high a bitrate. it could also be a tracer or muzzleflash mod. i forget which one exactly but i had a mod a while back for MGs that altered the tracers and it did the exact same thing. only the game would actually freeze for about 2 seconds after i fired.
hock: needless to say i threw that mod out real quick!

yeah, makes sense...
i should probably know this, but does anyone know which wav file/s are associated with the Me262 cannons? :?:

Do you have Bender's Gunfire mod?I have it and experienced stutter when firing Me 262 canons.Disabling it might probably work.If not the problem should be another mod or a file.

Thanks GETTER-
turns out it was Bender's gunflash animation that was causing it on my rig. I deleted the 30mm folder from the Gunflash folder, and the problem is resolved... 8)
