Weird noice - FlyingShark - 08.06.2009
I'm having trouble with the sound of some of the planes (Tempest, the latest Spitfires). I know from different topics that I'm not the only one with this problem. You see, those engines sound so way to loud. It's like a modern jetfighter doing a low pass. When I downloaded the latest Jafa Griffon sounds, they worked fine when listening to them after extracting them. When I put them in the game, they give that distorted noice agein. I know this has been asked before but please does anyone know what can be done about it? Some people say they like those new sounds but they probably don't have the problem some of us have and might not know what we mean. It's really unpleasant listening to that noice.

you could find the soundfiles that are distorted and open them up in a wave editor, then reduce the volume through that program.
********but make a backup set first in case you mess it up.*********

Thank you Sakai, it's not ideal yet but it starts to sound like it should.
