Lack of a better place to post this trouble with the Unified - CrusherD - 15.06.2009

I downloaded all files, part one being 125Mb, all other being 256Mb with last being(part 8) 26.4/27042. I patched my install to 4.09b and tried to install again but keep getting CRC failed in _Game Switchers\4.09 Mods ON (NO 6DOF)\files.SFS
Unexpected end of archive

Before I patched to 4.09b I did the same install using the Unifed exe to 4.08m and still get the same: CRC failed in _Game Switchers\4.09 Mods ON (NO 6DOF)\files.SFS

I dont have 6DOF, is there something I need to change in my config.ini or something? I have an old TIR3.

After reading the forums I have the complete installs of all the unified but it won't install, suggestions?

I hate to tell this,but that error message usually means you have a corrupted file or one of them is incomplete.When you downloaded the unified installer did you pause the download at any point? Sometimes that will cause a download to be incomplete.Also there should be no reason at all to patch the game to anything further than 4.08m because 4.09 is included in the unified installer.Here is my suggestion uninstall the game making sure that you go into program files and delete the game folder ,you MUST do this after a uninstall because it leaves that game folder behind and there could be a corrupted file in there.Get rid of your unified installer download and try downloading it all again.Gee I hate to tell you that and if anybody has a different idea please chime in,but if one of those files is corrupted or incomplete there is no way of telling which one.

Never paused any of the downloads, each were done one at a time over a period of two weeks(meaning I downloaded a part one day and another part another day) with no problems. I think I'll just bypass this mod of this game, im used to most mods on games but not about to go digging about to find out whats wrong in this one given the file sizes. I'll just stick to the retail version of this game, Im not about to give myself a headache, I enjoyed it once as retail and so I shall once more.

Part 1 is about 250MB not 125MB;
Sizes should be;

Hi mate!

Perhaps your PC have a high protection rate so it look the file that have active code inside , to prevent this (I have got some similar trouble in tha past) immediatly after the download have done right click on the file , open the property and find if in the bottom part of the property windows are writed that the file was locked , if so check the unlock dot and left click on apply , this will keep you sure that your PC don't delete the active file when you'll launch it!

Just go with the "mod activator" and you won't get any hassle - think it's now version 5.2 you want.
