To smoke and fire modders: Some advice on mod customization - Metatron - 17.06.2009
My question is quite simple: Which files do I need to copy, and where, if I want to combine two mods.
For example: I want
only the dark smoke effect when the aircraft is on fire from goblins mod, but otherwise keep Holygrail and Potenz's effects.
Thanks in advance for advice and thanks for the great mods.

BlackMediumSPD.eff imho

I don't think that worked... Is there not a texture that needs to be moved along with the effect?

Metatron ,
we wish we can help you but it's not just copy and paste solution to get different smoke .
Ultimate Full 3D smoke & fire mod is configured completely differently from Goblins and all previous
smoke fire mods versios that were ever released and it will cause not pretty side effects when
you start mixing things .
Main point is that you will have to assign some of the entries values exactly the same as otherwise
Goblin's smoke will go separate way visually from Ultimate mod smokes because of difference in
assigned air environment values .
For example , you are pulling sharply up , or left or right damaged smoking plane , and what
will happen is that our Ultimate mod smoke stream will leave plane naturaly with very much
real environment physics , while Goblins is configured differently and will keep dropping many feet below
because that's the way some used to do things before to prevent those plane crash ground big
black smoke blobs that were killing FPS .
Here is one of the older sreenshots I believe from Goblin's mod , where I tried to explain smokes
going separate way and you can clearly see how two smoke streams are separated .
Now imagine that transparent 2D smoke to be our 3D smoke stream together with Goblins thick dense
smoke which is dropping 50 feet below , how that would look like .
Maybe some would no object and might even like it , I don't know , but we're considering smokes
each going separate way an immersion killer .
Cheeeeers,
