Very simple Photoshop trick with effects filter.
1 - open the original image.
2 - Make copy of it. So you have two images, one on top of the other.
3 - on teh top image, go to Filter > and choose Poster edges. Move the slide buttons around
to get the desired effect you want to see.
4 - go to your layers pallete and on the top corner make this layer a little transparent by
reducing the opacity to about minus 75%.
5 - Merge both layers by doing a Flatten Layers Mode.

Now it looks like a comic book style screenshot from an old comic book Smile
