Helpy? Using map freezes game.. - Spinnetti - 29.06.2009

I have 4.09b1 and lots of mods (UI 1.1.1 base)... every time I try to use the map, the gap stops.. its like the map is using all the CPU. If I turn the map off, the game gets going again. It has worked in the past with mods, but I think it started with UI 1.0.. anybody ever see this? other than that, it works fine, but I rely on that for enemy position instead of icons which ruins the show.. any insight would be appreciated.
