Variants of the D.H. Mosqito ?? - Docholiday - 01.07.2009

Is there anybody thinking about some variants of the Mosquito. It`s a faboulous airplane.

Especially the FB. VI 1944 who used Rockets and the FB. CVIII "Tsetse" with is Molins-Gun ad Rocket armament would be useful in the Game..

The NF. XIII with his roundshaped nose for the Radar could richen the game too !

The current Mosquitos definitely need rockets. I would also like to see an NF30 which is sort of a night fighter version of the B XVI that Mr Jolly did a while back.

Well, it

Mossie variants that would be nice to have:

PR Mk. I - the first operational Mossie version
F/NF Mk. II - the dedicated fighter version (and with a radar, nightfighter)
T Mk. III - dual-control trainer
FB Mk. XVIII - the "Tsetse", anti-shipping attack version with the Molins 6pdr gun
NF Mk. XIX - improved radar equipment
F-8 - USAAF PR conversion of the Canadian-built B. Mk. IV variant, the Mk. XX
B Mk. 25 - Canadian built version of the Mk. IV using Packard engines
FB Mk. 26 - Canadian built version of the Mk. VI using Packard engines
NF Mk. 30 - high altitude night fighter
TR Mk. 33 - the "Sea Mosquito", carrier-borne torpedo-fighter
FB Mk. 40 - Aussie fighter-bomber version, Packard engine

What ugly plane, this 4 engine Mossie !!!

But I like the Calquin... it has something !!!

- rossmum - 07.07.2009

I dunno, from that angle it looks more than a little awesome. I seriously doubt it'd fly well, though... not without a major redesign.

I'd love to see more Mossie variants - especially the NFs. Easily my favourite twin, and my favourite plane of all time following the Spit.

Maybe Mosquito FB Mk.XVIII (

Your my man Monguse. Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin

will Your Tse-Tse be armed with 4x 0.79 mm MG + the molins gun or will it be the fieldmod-version with only 2 MG ?
I read in a book that the Tse-Tse had better front armor. Wil Your Mossi be more durabel against AA--fire ??

Thanks for Your work
