J2M cockpit and controls not working - ThunderBum - 07.07.2009
Hi all.
My PC was reformatted and I reinstalled IL-2 and re-updated it. After I did that I started QMB and selected the J2M as the plane to fly. When the mission loaded, the game kicked me to a static camera and when I try to go to the cockpit or try the controls, nothing happens. Can anyone tell me what is causing this problem?

Just curious, do you have a QM set up for that perticular map?

What, exactly, did you do to "re-update it"?

I had the same problem with the p-47's It was an off mod that did it. I beleive it was the NWD gunsights mod if I remember correctly

The mission was against four P-51D-20s in the Pacific Islands.
The reason I "re-updated" it because I got PF Standalone
and
not 1946 so I can't use the mods here at AAA until I get me copy of 1946. Really want to fly the MiG-15 and F9F.

You said you installed IL-2, not Pacific Fighters. J2M is not included in Pacific Fighters standalone, although it may show up in the menu if you installed latest patches, but you can't fly it. Still not sure what "re-updateed" means, though. Can you be more explicit?

Probably a brain fart.
"re-updated" Because my PC was formatted and I had to re-update the version of PF to 4.04.
The game has the default version 3.01 but J2m is not flyable until 3.03. Can't understand why it still won't work.

Hm, well I was mistaken about J2M not being in the Standalone PF...been a long time.
Maybe you missed a patch in the sequence? Did you apply 3.03, 4.01, 4.02, 4.03, and 4.04?
I think there was a 3.04, but wasn't needed if you applied the 4.01...can't really remember exactly.
