How do I increase my fps? - hammond67 - 10.07.2009
Hi
My IL-2 runs on 60FPS all the time, but is there any way to enlarge the limit from 60 FPS to, say, 75 or 100 fps. Ive tried that new frame rate changer but all that does is lower the limit.
This is what my computer has:
ps: Is my computer good?

Turn off the vertical sync in your Nvidia control panel....should give you a boost in fps for sure.
- nzwilliam - 10.07.2009
turning off vert sync can cause tearing though. On my computer to increase refresh rate just gotta dial down the screen res a little and not have it on highest setting, 70, 72, 75 then become available. Worth a look anywho.

...with vertical sync turned on if on LCD monitor your max FPS will match monitor resolution (refresh rate) ... so if you have LCD at 60 Hz your max FPS will be 60
it's not really a problem just make sure you have triple buffering on as well ( nv control panel) if vertical sync is on .

Im now getting a good fps (75-90fps). Thanks 8)

I realy should click the refresh button before responding  I had my refresh rate at 75 Hz but the fps was still 60?? So I turned vertical sync off and it improved the fps.

Its my opinion that if your PC is capable of maintaining a frame rate of over 30fps with vertical sync on then you should keep it on - As the tearing you get without it is nasty, and you shouldn't notice any difference at those high rates.

Hello
I also believe that "
threaded optimization " should be
off for best results with IL-2 1946
as it was said many times previously that it is slowing FPS when used with IL2 .
Worth of trying
