Corrupted skin of other player's aircraft when I am server - zappatime - 11.07.2009

I play on-line with a friend on co-op missions. As far as I am aware we use exactly the same paint schemes set and mod set (as he's abroad, away from home, he's using a copy of my il2 V1.1.1 game folder). I've noticed recently that for his aircraft the skin is corrupted (looks like the skin to another type of aircraft - all jumbled up), or at least not the default skin for that aircraft ,even when he is just using the default skin - all looks ok to him, but not to me - his aircraft alone has the wrong skin, everything else in the game is fine including AI planes and their skins.

Any ideas as to the cause, clearly something isn't matching; if I've got an additional aircraft in my list (since copying my game folder for him) could that screw plane references or skin references up?

I should point out he does own il246, just using a copy of my game on a laptop. while he's in Europe, I'm not into pirating this wonderful game, just in case you were wondering .
