[WIP] Blackburn Skua MKII - XabaRus-1 - 12.07.2009

I mentioned on the IL-2 mods discussion that I was going to start a Blackburn Skua MKII.

Well here is my progress so far. Only about 4 to 5 hours spent so far. It is going to take time as I have never built a 3d model such as this before, I'm more used to submarines and ships so this is going to be a learning process for me so might get several goes done before I am happy with it.

This is just the basic fuselage done at the moment. I'll add a more detail as I go.

Nice the Skua was awsome! Can't wait!

Looks very nice, good job.

But please check the angle of the windshield and forward part of the canopy glazing, it is incorrectly angled on the drawings you are using (see the other Skua thread for some comparison drawings I made).

Your first teaser looks very good. The Skua would be a good addition to the Sim. The British need more bombers.

I can see Swordfish, Sea Gladiators (or Sea Hurricanes), and Skuas flying together. I just wouldn't want to be flying them against the Japanese in 1941 or 1942, however against the Italians it could be interesting.

Lookin' really good.

And what about the Vultee Vengeance? Used heavily in Burma by four RAF squadrons and two Indian Air Force squadrons. Used some by RAAF in New Guinea.
Excuse me for getting off topic. Skua is great too and it's good to see your work. Thanks!

Be nice to see this one in the game.
We need more early war stuff.
Fairly easy to convert to the Roc I would have thought, once you've finished.
