I have searched all the sample files and can't locate the sound of falling bombs. I would to to remove it. Anyone know how?

I don't have the answer, but before you remove them, I think I should say that many soldiers later recalled being amazed at how loud the sound of falling bombs actually was. It isn't just a hollywood effect.

they were loud, you're right, but i think rather than removing them, we should look at a way to alter the distance from which they can be heard. to hear them from over a kilometre away while above them from inside my cockpit is a bit much, i reckon.

If you want to make your own bomb sounds or make them so they are 0 volume , below is a list of the wav headers used in the game , the first one is release , the other three are for bomb freefall sounds.....

I found bomb_07 WAV and moved from the file before I posted here. Still had the sounds. I'll try it again and look for n00 and 04...or change to 0 as you said. Thanks.

My bad, should have been more clear. That clip i posted was just to show what sound. I am doing a little video project. I just wanted to know the files name in samples. I don;t mind the sound while just playing. The bomb whistle sounds from ground level are awful. I can get around that by doing another 'mission' using long fuses. Then the whistle of the final three plane group's bombs should be gone before the first group's bombs detonate. Anyway, this is the sound I'm talking about. LOL Too fruity musical sounding.

Changing bomb_n00 in files/presets/sounds/weapons.bomb (all three, didn't know which one) to 0 [spl] worked. Thanks so much hero!
