C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\MODS\STD\com\maddox\il2\objects
it's in that location for me. It will be in the MODS\STD\com\maddox\il2\objects although you may have IL2 installed somewhere else.

if you've modded your game at all, with UI or soundmod etc, then that's the location of the static.ini

The static.ini contains details of your static objects. (houses, fortifications, harbour segments etc)
If you install UI 1.1 you will have one.
Either in root/files/com/maddox/il2/objects
or
root/MODS/STD/com/maddox/il2/objects
You should only have one. Problems may occur if you have more than one.
If installing beta mods do not overwrite the existing file but instead do a manual edit to add the new entries.

What mod are you trying to install?
Do you have UI 1.1 installed or one of the earlier options?

just remember guys, if you have not installed a mod that USES the static ini yet, you wont have one yet. I think I got my first with one of themaps...I dont recall..but I dont think the most modacts installs it automatically. Dunno about UI (wont touch it with a pole!)

Look in the STD subfolder of the MODS folder. Should be same place where air.ini is.
